Orchestra Victoria is thrilled to announce that we will be holding eight Education Workshops for music students in regional and peri-urban Victoria this year.

• Our education and community development workshops allow aspiring musicians to experience the thrill of performing alongside the professional musicians of Orchestra Victoria
• Each workshop is an intensive two-day program of rehearsals for instrumental music students
• The workshops offer a unique and valuable learning opportunity for students and are conducted by a leading music education specialist
• Orchestra Victoria’s musicians play alongside students and lead smaller instrumental section tutorials
• Students extend their ensemble playing and instrumental techniques
• The program include professional learning opportunities for music educators and conductors of local school and community ensembles
• A showcase of the students’ work is presented in a free community concert at the end of the second day
• These workshops are provided completely free of charge to all participants thanks to Art Victoria, The Bendigo Bank and generous support of private donors.
