Meena Shamaly

Meena Shamaly is a composer, session musician, poet, lecturer, and radio presenter. He is the host of ABC Classic’s Game Show, exploring the rich and wonderful world of video game soundtracks.

Meena’s work in games includes collaborating with Christopher Tin on his Grammy-nominated soundtrack for Old World, providing oud and Middle Eastern vocals. He is the composer of Innchanted by DragonBear Studios (in collaboration with some of Australia’s finest First Nations Musicians) and Every Hue of You by Cactus Jam Studios. He is also a performer on the upcoming Total War: Pharoah by Creative Assembly (published by Sega).

Meena has previously performed on the score for the Australian film The Legend of Ben Hall and the British film Rise of the Footsoldier 4: Marbella. His music has been licensed for The Late Late Show with James Corden, Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown, Amazon Prime’s The Grand Tour, several Netflix series, Collegehumor videos, and WWE. Beyond the screen, Meena regularly creates music for the live stage, with projects that span the worlds of theatre and spoken word.
