About Nadine
Nadine Delbridge was born in Melbourne and began learning violin from the age of eight before picking up the viola in 1998. She comes from a richly musical family – her great grandfather taught violin and piano in Germany, her grandmother played piano for silent films in Melbourne and her sister works as a principal violinist with Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Nadine holds an impressive range of degrees, including a Bachelor and Masters of Music from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Diploma of Arts in Music from the Victorian College of the Arts, a Diploma of Education from Monash University, a Masters of Philosophy from the University of Queensland and a L.Mus A in violin and viola. She has worked with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Pops Orchestra and toured as part of the Ultimate Rock Symphony show band. She has played with Orchestra Victoria since 1993, initially as a violinist, then as a viola player since 2002.
